Terms of Service.
Last updated: 19 October 2026. The agreement between you and MindsView Invention when you request a consultation, engage our services, or use this website.
1. Acceptance
By using mindsviewinnevetion.com (the "site") operated by MindsView Invention ("we", "us", "our"), or by submitting a consultation request or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or engage our services.
2. Services
We provide product development, prototyping, concept evaluation, and manufacturing guidance services. The scope of each engagement is defined in a written quote or statement of work. Services are provided to businesses and independent inventors; we do not provide legal, patent, or financial advice.
3. Quotes and project scope
All work is quoted in writing before it begins. Quotes are valid for 30 calendar days from the date on the quote. A quote is based on the information you provide. If project requirements change materially, we will discuss a revised quote before proceeding. Verbal quotes are not binding — only written quotes are.
4. Scheduling and cancellation
Once you confirm a quote, we agree a project start date. You may reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations after work has begun may be invoiced for time and materials already incurred.
5. Payment terms
Payment terms are stated on your quote or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due within 15 days of issue. Invoices not paid within 30 days may accrue a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% APR).
6. Customer responsibilities
To deliver the project, you agree to:
- Provide accurate project information, drawings, and any existing documentation you hold.
- Respond to design questions and milestone approvals within a reasonable timeframe.
- Disclose any third-party intellectual property, patents, or prior art that may affect the project.
- Ensure any materials or components you supply are safe and lawful to use.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you retain ownership of the concepts and materials you provide. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, methods, and background know-how. Upon full payment, you receive a license to use the project deliverables for your intended commercial purpose. Ownership of jointly developed work is defined in the statement of work for that engagement.
8. Warranty and re-work
If our deliverables do not meet the scope on the written quote, we will re-work them at no charge within 14 days of delivery. This is our sole warranty. We do not warrant that any concept will be commercially successful, patentable, or manufacturable at a given cost.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of our work is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or third-party claims.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your breach of these terms, your misrepresentation of project information, or your infringement of third-party intellectual property rights.
11. Transactional email communications
We send email only for legitimate transactional and operational purposes related to your project. This includes: receiving and replying to service requests, quote confirmations, project milestone updates, scheduling notifications, service notifications, estimates, and customer support. We do not send marketing, promotional, newsletter, or bulk email, and we do not rent, scrape, or buy third-party email lists. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time by contacting us, though essential project communications may still be required to complete work you have engaged us for.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in DuPage County, Illinois, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced on the site home page. Continued use of the site or continued engagement of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@mindsviewinnevetion.com or by post to MindsView Invention, Hinsdale, IL.
